Getting Here
If you’re arriving to Bayahibe via any of the three closest airports (La Romana, Punta Cana or Santo Domingo) and staying at one of the All Inclusive resorts in Bayahibe / Dominicus area, your vacation package might include airport transfers.
If you’re going the independent route you can rent a car at either airport at the desks inside the terminal, take a taxi or use the public transportation
By Taxi
La Romana Airport is the closest one, about 20 – 25 minute drive, a private taxi for up to 5 people is 35 USD.
Punta Cana Airport and Santo Domingo airport, both about hour and half car ride from here – the cost is around 110 USD (private taxi for up to 5 people).
By Car
You can rent a car, either you can pre-book it from home like at any other vacation destination in the world, or you can rent it at either airport. The cost is from 35 USD per day plus, depending on the vehicle of course.
By Bus or Guagua
This is the budget friendly transportation, but usually the longest way to travel. You’ll need to find one bus or guagua going to La Romana first then need to transfer to another one for Bayahibe (ask the driver to drop you at the “parada para Bayahibe”).
