There are many options in Bayahibe and Dominicus to get some fantastic food and enjoy some nightlife. With Dominicus having an Italian flavour the food and coffee are top notch. In Bayahibe there are ocean side retaurants that serve fantastic seafood dishes, each restaurant preparing it in their own style.

Also don’t be afraind to taste the local food at any of the stands or food windows around Bayahibe. Bandera Dominicana a typical Dominican dish – stewed meet with white rice, red beans, fried plantains and salad. If you are not sure about tasting the meat then have Criolla style chicken with white rice and beans.

El Cafecito de la Cubana (Playa de Bayahibe, behind the main parking lot). The best restaurant in the Bayahibe bay!!! This authentic Cuban restaurant is a popular choice among tourits and ex-pats alike who want to eat a great meal while watching the sunset and enjoying a real Cuban Mojito.

Alkimia (Calle Principe, Dominicus) . The Casino Diamante in Dominicus has it’s own restaurant for those that come to play and don’t want to go too far to have some good dinner. This restaurant is open only during tha casino hours from 7 PM till 4 AM.

Maracaibo restaurant (Calle Principe, Dominicus) just beside the casino entrance, designed as a pirate ship, serving great Dominican and Italian food, with lots of sea food dishes.

Issamar (Playa de Bayahibe, across the boats). Overlooking the bay, this is a good choice for lobster as well as great Italian dishes.

Leidy (Playa de Bayahibe, across the boats). Like from Issamar restaurant, you can watch the local fisherman or tourists walking around the boats while enjoing seafood and Criolla dishes.

Restaurant El Bahía (beside the main parking lot in Bayahibe). This is an inviting thatched-roof open-sided establishment that opens right onto the water. An extensive menu features meat, poultry, and seafood prepared four ways: parilla (grilled), guisado (slow-cooked), encebolla (smothered in onions), or frito (fried). It is one of the few establishments here that accepts credit cards, though only with an RD $300 minimum (which isn’t posted anywhere).

Restaurante Mare Nostrum (Calle Principe, Bayahibe). One of the most inviting-looking restaurants in Bayahibe – with a great second-floor deck overlooking the water – Mare Nostrum pays off with a good selection of seafood dishes. You can watch the fishing boats and tour boats take off while dining on fresh fish and shellfish prepared several ways.

Barco Bar (Calle Principe, Bayahibe). Overlooking the water, this café does a good European-style breakfast and has a popular bar, which was fashioned from a discarded boat that gives the establishment its name.
